Developed for more sensitive skin, the rescuer is our SOS skin balm, formulated with super-soothing botanical concentrates and Tahi’s biodiversity-positive UMF™ 15+ Mānuka honey to help calm irritation, protect and strengthen damaged skin. This versatile balm is perfect for all your family’s needs and makes light work of skin irritations and extremely dry or red skin. Use on any dry patch of skin as well as on dry hands, feet, elbows and cuticles

Each KAEA product has been created without added water. By leaving out this water, we are able to create the purest, most effective, hydrating formulations without the need for preservatives. We advise you apply your KAEA products with dry hands to ensure the carefully balanced active ingredients are not diluted and work at the optimum level they were designed to.

Our products are formulated with carefully selected blends of essential oils and active botanicals so we always recommend you try our products on a small area of your skin first. Why not try our cleanser, a gentle wash-off product or our SOS balm featuring fewer essential oils and Harakeke, a native New Zealand plant extract celebrated for its anti-inflammatory properties.

KAEA products do not contain preservatives ensuring they are as pure and effective as possible. We have formulated each product without the need for added water, which means bacteria cannot grow and there is no need to use preservatives. 

KAEA products are safe to use during pregnancy, as it is completely free
of unwanted ingredients. However, we would advise you to double-check with your specialists if you have any doubts.

Yes, our products are cruelty-free. Our formulations are honey-based but we can assure you that Tahi honey is natural and ethical in every way. The bees are being kept and nurtured in world-class wetland sanctuaries and ecological retreats, and the honey is being collected without harming them.

Each KAEA product should last 5 -8 months or more, depending on how often you use them. We recommend using our products within 6 months of opening.

From a sustainability perspective, we do not provide product samples, but you are welcome to come into one of our stores or spa to discover our textures and scents.

No, there is not. Our products are suitable for all ages.

There is no added SPF protection, you will have to use separate protection on top of the KAEA products during sunbathing. KAEA products carry enough protection for everyday use, thanks to the high content of antioxidants and a small amount of SPF that comes from natural sources. Please inform your dermatologist if you are in doubt, or had a history of skin-related illness.

Yes, except for The Vitaliser, you would apply that in the evening to repair the sun exposed skin, as the actives are very high.

We also work hard to offset our carbon footprint based on a strategic ecosystem restoration system. What does this involve? At Tahi, our award-winning conservation nature sanctuary in New Zealand, we have restored nearly 800 acres of land to a flourishing, biodiverse ecosystem,  increasing bird and plant species, as well as wetlands and indigenous trees, which ultimately works as a carbon sink. We are now expanding our land by another 4,000 hectares. By planting trees native to New Zealand, rather than pine, palm or hardwood species, which are traditionally planted to offset carbon but which only provide a short-term, limited benefit to the environment, we can help significantly offset our carbon footprint whilst also increasing biodiversity, helping Mother Nature for the long term.
